Hearts of Oak prodigy, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has completed his long-awaited move to the Swiss Super League side FC Zurich following a successful medical examination with his new club.

The former Ghana Premier League winners will receive training and a compensation fee of US$150,000 from Swiss club FC Zurich.

The enterprising forward had been subject to have attracted huge interest from clubs on the Africa, America and the Europe.

The former Ghana U20 captain’s displays in the Ghana Premier League earned him place in the Black Stars’ final squad for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Prior to those heroics, he was highly pivotal in Black Galaxies qualification to the 2022 CHAN tournament slated for Algeria starting on Januey,13,2022 and the U-23’s double header against Mozambique.

Afriyie Barnieh was part of the Championship winning side under the then head coach, Samuel Boadu, that broke the over a decade jinx of Ghana Premier League absence as well as winning back-to-back MTN FA Cup trophies within 3-year span since signing for the side in 2019.
