Ghana’s U23 coach Ibrahim Tanko is open to beefing up his already talented squad at his disposal with more quality ahead of the ultimate pile of games ahead of the U23 tournament slated for Morocco.

Coach Tanko suggested in his post-game interview that he is open to adding these trio, who have gained considerable experience from playing in Europe’s top leagues as well as a stint with the BlackStars.

Sporting Lisbon player Fatawu Issahaku, Kamaldeen Sulemana(Stade Rennes), and  Felix Afena-Gyan(Cremonese) will have a bite of the cherry against  DR Congo in March 2023.

“Every player who is playing outside the country and is a Ghanaian qualifies for this team why not”.

“We want what is best for the country.  It is not only about the local players but the foreign players. We just want to have a very good side both foreign and local. There is going to be a mix and hope we qualify for the AFCON”.

“We have Fatawu Issahaku, Felix Afena-Gyan, Kamaldeen Sulemana and they all qualify for this team. Those who played in the Ghana U20 are also there” he ended.

Ghana prevailed over Mozambique in two legs on a  4-1 aggregate to progress to the next stage of the qualifying campaign.
