    The Black Satellites began their group opener with a draw against DR Congo at the Suez Stadium in Egypt.



    The West African side was pitted in group c alongside Senegal, DR Congo, and Central African Republic.
    Coach Desmond Offei named Gidios Aseko as goalkeeper, Ofori McCarthy as captain, DaCosta Antwi, Emmanuel Mensah, Ishmael Addo, Joseph Opoku, Aaron Essel, Andrews Adjabeng, Dennis Marfo, Musibau Aziz and Hakim Sulemana in his starting eleven.

    Samuel Ntanda rose the highest to tap in Messy Manitu’s inch-perfect cross beyond the reach of Gidios Aseko in post for Ghana.
    Ghana reacted strongly after going behind creating several chances for the equalizer through, Andrews Adjabeng, Hakim Sulemana, and Musibau Aziz.

    A well-worked team goal will see Norway-based Emmanuel Mensah’s cross tapped home beautifully by Dreams FC’s Musibau Aziz for the leveler in the 24th minute.
    The first half ended 1-1.
    There was little to pick from both sides in the second half.
    Ghana will take on Senegal on Monday at 18:00 GMT in the second group game.
