    The African Cup of Nations (AFCON) draw was held on Monday, January 27, at 7 p.m. at the Mohammed V National Theatre in Rabat.



    It brought a host of dignified football stars,senior football officials and other vested parties under one umbrella to witness the draw for Africa’s elite country competition.

    The draw has got a lot of people already salivating for the competition proper with many tagging Group B as the group of the death.

    Final Groups Breakdown : 

    Group A : Morocco, Mali,Zambia, Comoros 

    Group B : Egypt, South Africa, Angola, Zambia

    Group C : Nigeria, Tunisia, Uganda,Tanzania 

    Group D : Senegal, DR Congo, Benin, Botswana 

    Group E : Algeria, Burkina Faso, Eq.Guinea,Sudan

    Group F : CIV,Cameroon, Gabon, Mozambique 

    Defending Champions Cote d’Ivoire will hope to defend their title after staging a host and win during the AFCON 2023 in their homeland.

    The 35th edition of the continental showpiece is set to kick start from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
