    A host of BlackStars players have arrived in Kumasi to commence their camping ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. 



    There were initial plans for the team to pitch camp in Johannesburg, South Africa but upon agitations from the public, the decision was reversed to Kumasi, Ghana.

    Coach Chris Haughton initially released a provisional 55-man squad list and whittled it down to a 27-man squad list on Monday, 1, January 2023.

    A host of players have arrived in the country to begin camping in the Garden City of Kumasi. 

    Captain, Andre Ayew, Nicholas Opoku, Joseph Painstil, Ernest Nuamah, Majeed Ashimeru, Gideon Mensah, Lawrence Ati Zigi, Jojo Wollacott, Baba Iddrisu, Salis Abdul Samed, Elisha Owusu, Ransford Yeboah, Daniel Amartey and Alidu Seidu have arrived. 

    Other players expected to join the squad later are Mohammed Kudus, Jordan Ayew, Inaki Williams, Antoine Semenyo, and Dennis Odoi.

    The Black Stars have been housed in Group B alongside Egypt, Cape Verde, and Mozambique.
