Head Coach of the National U-20 team, Abdul Karim Zito has heaped immense praise on his current squad’s talent underneath his watch heading into the WAFU Zone B Cup of Nations and the Total Energies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

The team has been in camp for the last few weeks going through their training regiments ahead of the upcoming tournament.

According to him, the current crop of players stationed in camp have more talent than the previous squad that he supervised some years ago.

“When you talk about talent, I think this squad is ahead of the previous U-20 side, seriously, there’s one thing, I am now trying to infuse into them, that’s the mental toughness. They know that even if they play at the weekend for their clubs, they will play again when they get here”.

For the talent issue, it’s better than the other squad, we are working on the other aspects as well to get the team in shape for the tournament”. he told ghanafa.org

The Black Satellites will be hoping to continue from where their predecessors ended by defend both the WAFU Zone B Cup of Nations and the Total Energies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations having won the previous editions in Benin and Mauritania respectively.
