Asante Kotoko and Black Stars player Abdul Ganiyu could leave the club at the end of the season as contract talks with the player continue to stall.

Abdul Ganiyu earlier expressed his willingness to renew his contract with the club two months ago, but his representatives are yet to reach an agreement with the club.

“I remain a servant of Asante Kotoko and therefore I am waiting for an agreement to be reached between my representatives and the club and when the agreement is reached I will be more than happy to sign and continue to serve the team” Abdul Ganiyu back in May.

Asante Kotoko will be letting some players leave at the club but will try to keep Abdul Ganiyu ahead of next season as they don’t want him to leave for free.

The management are still yet to reach an agreement with the player, but Abdul Ganiyu has reportedly started looking elsewhere in case they fail to reach an agreement at the end of the season.

Abdul Ganiyu joined Asante Kotoko from Karela United in 2018 on a three-year deal.
