The Black Stars of Ghana were battered beyond trace by The Gambia in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign on Tuesday night in Accra
The home team raced to a two-goal lead only to capitulate by the end of the game.
Ernest Nuamah slotted a 27th minute to open the scoring, Felix Afena-Gyan doubled the advantage six minutes later with a superb free-kick.
The Scorpions responded swiftly. Mohamed Badamosi pulled one back from the penalty spot in the 37th minute, and captain Omar Colley equalized before the break to leave the hosts stunned at 2-2.
After the interval, Gambia completed the turnaround. Ebrima Colley scored in the 68th minute, then sealed a memorable victory with his second goal in stoppage time.
The result leaves Ghana bottom of Group C without a point after two matches, while The Gambia sit top with a perfect record. The Black Stars must now regroup quickly if they are to revive their qualification hopes.
