The upcoming friendly match between Morocco and Ghana has been cancelled.
The game was set for Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the Grand Stadium in Tangier.
But local reports has it that, the Ghana Football Association has informed the Royal Moroccan Football Federation of its apology for not participating in the match, due to an internal crisis linked to outstanding financial dues for the Ghana national team players.
The news of the cancelation went rife after Ghana lost at home to The Gambia in their second qualifying game of the 2027 AFCON qualifying series with many suggesting that the FA didn’t want to further embarrass the country with such a high profile friendly game.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has begun weighing up other suitable options for a friendly game.
