Kotoko head coach has pointed out fear as the reason why his team lost at home to Aduana Stars.
Tinkler had started his tenure with the Kumasi based club on a mix note, basking two draws and a win
The Kumasi based club were poised for action against familiar goes, Aduana Stars and with the two teams looking to get one over each other, it was the visiting team, who run away with all three points, two goals, a clean sheet despite a numerical disadvantage.
Speaking after the game, Asante Kotoko head coach Eric Tinkler did not hold back after his side’s disappointing 2-0 home loss to Aduana Stars in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The South African coach said his players approached the match without the necessary confidence. “We started the game as if we were playing with fear. We kept giving the ball away cheaply, gave them opportunities, and eventually conceded a cheap goal,” Tinkler stated in his post-match comments.
The result marked Kotoko’s first loss of the season ending their unbeaten run.
The Porcupine Warriors occupy the 13th spot on the log and would hope to remedy the situation against Karela United in their next home fixture in the ongoing 2026/27 campaign.
