Accra Hearts of Oak Managing Director Julius Ben Emunah has resigned, ending his seven-month tenure at the club.
Emunah was appointed Managing Director effective February 2, 2026, succeeding Dr Delali Anku-Adiamah. He joined the Phobians after serving as Head of Competitions at the Ghana Football Association.
In a farewell message shared on Facebook, Emunah described his decision to leave the position as a difficult one and thanked the club’s Board, led by HRH Togbe Afede XIV, for the confidence placed in him.
He also thanked the National Chapter Committee (NCC) for its support throughout his time in office.
Despite resigning as Managing Director, Emunah stressed that his association with Hearts of Oak would continue.
“Although I am stepping down from my role, I am not stepping away from the club,” he wrote, pledging to remain available to serve and support the club whenever needed.
Emunah added that he leaves with immense appreciation and confidence in the club’s future.
His appointment formed part of Hearts of Oak’s efforts to strengthen its administrative structure and management.
In a related development, the club will announce Madam Afua Achiaa Boateng as the new General Manager.
