Ghana’s Black Stars was in their element as they gave off a resounding performance to beat Chad 5-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday.

Before this game, Madagascar had beaten Comoros to ascent to the summit on the table. The BlackStars could only topple them at the summit if they managed a win and they didn’t disappoint with a five star performance in front of a packed Accra Sports Stadium.

Otto Addo’s lineup was full of attacking threat and it was least surprising that Antoine Semenyo opened the scoring with just 90 secs into the game to send the whole stadium into thunderous ruptures.

Inaki was on hand to connect to a perfectly weighted pass from Kingsley Schindler but before that Kudus Mohammed and  Jordan Ayew went close to extending the lead but failed.

Jordan Ayew stepped up to convert expertly a penalty which marked his 30th for the team.

In the second half, a perfectly swung in cross from the corner by Olympique Lyon prodigy, Ernest Nuamah was smartly nodded in by Monaco player Mohammed Salisu.

Well worked team goal saw Ernest Nuamah’s effort for the night rewarded as he got on the end of a flick from Jordan Ayew to send a a shot pass the Chadian goalkeeper for the fifth goal on the night.

The BlackStars is on top with 12 points followed by Madagascar, who they play on Monday in Morocco.
