    The Black Stars had no answer to Nigeria’s supremacy as they lost to them in the  2025 Unity Cup on Wednesday evening.

     



    The Nigeria side probed for an early goal which was duly rewarded as Rangers forward Cyriel Dessers pounced on a lackluster defending to slot one past goalkeeper, Benjaimen Asare.

    Five minutes later things grew from bad to worse as Razak Simpson’s mistimed clearance ended up as an  own goal. 

    Nigeria finished the first half with two unanswered goals.

    Addo make two changes at halftime with Caleb Yirenkyi and Thomas-Asante being thrown into the game.

    That changed signaled the BlackStars dominance in the game  which paid off in the 70th minute as a sweet delivery from the left hand of attack from Annan was tapped in by Thomas-Asante from close range.

    The four-time African champions scavenged for the equalizer but their noisy neighbors held their own well to nick the win.

    The result means, Ghana face Trinidad and Tobago in the third-place playoff game while Nigeria will play Jamaica in the final on Saturday, May 31, while
