The 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season will kick off on the weekend of September 12, 2025, and end on the weekend of May 23/24, 2026.

The dates align with the 23rd FIFA World Cup 2026, scheduled for June 11 to July 19, 2026, ensuring that all elite domestic competitions conclude before the global showpiece commences.

With Congress scheduled for August 12, 2025, the Ghana Football Association has confirmed that the Premier League will commence on time and conclude in May 2026, in line with the approved FIFA calendar for all Member Associations. Premier League matches will be played on weekends, with midweek dates reserved for outstanding fixtures, mirroring the structure of the 2024/25 season.

Hopefully, clubs will pay heed it to the new dates and follow accordingly in preparation of the new season.

Defending champions Bibiani Gold Stars SC will hope to defend their title, while Techiman Eleven Wonders Football Club, Swedru All Blacks United Football Club, and Hohoe United Football Club will compete in the elite division after qualifying from the Access Bank Division One League.
