    The Black Queens bagged a 3-1 win over Namibia in the first-leg encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, December 1, 2023.


    A double from Doris Boaduwaa and a classic goal from captain, Portia Boakye was enough to help the host a glamorous win over the sealed 10th successive win for Ghana despite an own goal from the latter Southern African opponents.

    The hosts were unable to find their edge in the opening fifteen minutes of the game, as the Gladiators pegged them back for those periods.
    After a carefully worked effort from Alice Kusi, Doris Boaduwaa tapped into an empty net in the 26th minute of the game after a clear miscommunication in defense of Namibia.

    The Black Queens ended the first half with two goals in the bag much to the delight of the technical team and fans present at the stadium.

    In what looked like the Black Queens were coasting to a three-goal win, a mix-up in defense between Boakye’s headed ball and goalkeeper Cynthia Konlan ended in the back of the net. own net.
