    World Cup: Three Ghana Premier League players included in provisional squad

    Otto Addo has included three players from the local league in the Ghana Black Stars 55-man provisional squad for the 2022 World Cup Qatar.



    In the list released on Friday, Hearts of Oak duo Afriyie Barnieh and Denis Korsah were included in the provisional list alongside Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim, and Mudasiru Salisu who is on loan at FC Sherif.

    Denis Korsah and Afriyie Barnieh who made their Black Stars debut a few months ago will be hoping the make the final 26-man squad for the World Cup.



    Danlad Ibrahim who is yet to make his debut for the Ghana Black Stars has had a fine spell with the Black Galaxies and will also be looking to make the final cut.

    Former Asante Kotoko player Imoro Ibrahim also made the list.

    Otto Addo will announce his final 26-man squad before the World Cup kicks off.


    Full 55-man provisional squad: 

    Goalkeepers: Jojo Wollacott, Danlad Ibrahim, Abdul Manaf Nurudeen, Richard Ofori and Lawrence Ati Zigi

    Defenders: Denis Odoi, Tariq Lamptey, Alidu Seidu, Andy Yiadom, Baba Rahman, Gideon Mensah, Patrick Kpozo, Ibrahim Imoro, Denis Korsah, Alexander Djiku, Mohammed Salisu, Abdul Mumin, Jonathan Mensah, Daniel Amartey, Joseph Aidoo, Stephan Ambrosius, Kasim Adams.

    Midfielders: Thomas Partey, Idrissu Baba, Edmund Addo, Mubarak Wakaso, Elisha Owusu, Mudasiru Salifu, Salis Abdul Samed, Andre Ayew, Majeed Ashimeru, Joseph Paintsil, Mohammed Kudus, Daniel Kofi-Kyereh, Afriyie Barnieh, Jeffrey Schlupp.



    Wingers: Jordan Ayew, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Mohammed Dauda, Ernest Nuamah, Yaw Yeboah, Emmanuel Gyasi, Issahaku Fatawu, Osman Bukari, Ransford Yeboah, Kamal Sowah, Samuel Owusu, Christopher Antwi-Adjei, Joel Fameyeh.

    Strikers: Inaki Williams, Felix Afena-Gyan, Antoine Semenyo, Kwasi Wriedt, Caleb Ekuban, Richmond Boakye

    The squad will be reduced to a final 26-man squad for the World Cup.
