Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko George Amoaka has stated that there are no plans to sack CK Akonnor and adds that the coach has done well.

George Amoaka denied claims that management of Asante Kotoko are planning to sack CK Akonnor, he told Happy FM that the speculations are false.

“Nobody has said CK Akonnor will be sacked. We should stop all these speculations. Who said he hasn’t done well, forget it. He has done well for bringing the team this far. Just look at where he picked the boys and teams from,” Mr Amoako told Happy FM.

“We were playing against a well-matured side at this stage of the competition. We have learnt a lot and CK has done very well with the team.”

Akonnor joined the club on a three-year deal in October last year.
