We will replace Yacouba in no time – Kotoko CEO George Amoako

The Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko has urged the fans to remain calm and put their trust in the club, he revealed that if Sogne Yacouba leaves, the club will get a ‘new Yacouba’ in no time.

Following Asante Kotoko’s exit from the CAF Confederation Cup, the striker made it known to the management that he wants to leave the club.

Asante Kotoko announced on Monday that they have opened negotiations with Zesco United over the possible sale of the striker, and winger Emmanuel Gyamfi.

George Amoaka has assured the fans that the management will find a better player if Sogne Yacouba leaves, he added that the club contributed largely in the player’s development.

“Yacouba wasn’t the Yacouba we see today before signing for Kotoko and no club was even willing to sign him but he became who he is today when he was imparted by the spirit of Kotoko,’ he told Oyerepa FM.

‘’It’s Kotoko that is Kotoko but not the player. The spirit of Kotoko can enter into any player and he will play at his best.

‘’So Yacouba or no Yacouba, Kotoko is still Kotoko and that’s why I am urging the fans to come and cheer the team and will get another Yacouba in no time,” he added.
