Ghana Black Stars defender Mohammed Salisu has not made the Southampton Premier League matchday squad in the last few weeks.

According to The Athletic, Mohammed Salisu has not featured for Southampton in recent games due to doubts over his commitment.

Salisu has only 12 months left in his contract and the player and his camp have refused to open talks over contract renewal as they want only to discuss renewal at the end of the season.

Sahara Football understands Salisu will leave Southampton if they fail to stay in the English Premier League as several clubs are keeping tabs on the player.

Mohammed Salisu’s last game for Southampton was in a 3-3 draw against Tottenham in March.
