WAFU Women’s Cup: Ghana Black Queens off to a flying start after beating Senegal

The Ghana Black Queens began their WAFU Women’s Cup campaign with an emphatic 2-0 win over Senegal on Wednesday evening.

The game started in a very great manner but both teams failed to find the back of the net in the first forty-five minutes of the game.

Evelyn Badu broke the deadlock in the 75th minute with a close-range effort to put the Black Queens in front, before Abdulai Mukarama scored in the 90th minute to seal the victory for Ghana.

Earlier in Group A, host nation Ivory Coast thrashed Togo 5-0.

Ghana will face Togo on Friday as they will be looking to secure a spot in the semi-finals.
