Ghana Black Stars legend Asamoah Gyan has voiced out his concerns after Majeed Ashimeru was omitted from the latest Ghana Black Stars squad for World Cup Qualifiers double-header game against Nigeria.

Otto Addo’s squad for the crucial game was announced on Tuesday morning, a strong squad that includes four new faces.

Asamoah Gyan however tweeted expressing his disappointment after Majeed Ashimeru was omitted from the squad.

Update: Asamoah Gyan has since deleted the tweet and apologized for using some words to voice his concerns.

I still insist that Ashimeru deserves to be in this current Black Stars BUT am sorry for using the word “ Nonsense “ in my statement so I unreservedly withdraw that word , I was carried by my emotions .
    Go Ghana 🇬🇭 🙏🏿

Majeed Ashimeru is a regular at RSC Anderlecht this season, the midfielder has scored three goals and registered two assists in 31 games for the Belgian club this season.
