The coach of Mozambique expresses confidence in securing a win against Ghana

Mozambique coach Chiquinho Conde is of the opinion that Ghana’s Black Stars are experiencing frustration due to their lack of success at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

With both teams currently without a win, they are set to face off in their crucial final group match where the stakes are high for both sides.

During a pre-match press conference, Conde expressed his team’s determination to secure victory and eliminate Ghana from the tournament.

He stated, “We will play at 200% to win this match. We know Ghana hasn’t won a match and understandably are somehow frustrated and don’t have peace of mind, even though they have some quality. They play with the motivation of the fans also. We will try to provoke them and approach the match as a final.”

Ghana’s initial match resulted in a 2-1 loss to Cape Verde, marked by a late conceded goal. The second game against Egypt witnessed two errors leading to equalizers, resulting in a 2-2 draw.

The Black Stars currently hold the third position in Group B with one point from two games, requiring a victory against Mozambique to progress to the round of 16.

With both teams under pressure and everything on the line in the final group match, Conde’s remarks suggest that Mozambique will adopt a high-intensity tactical approach to unsettle Ghana and take advantage of their perceived frustration.

The outcome of the match will determine whether Ghana can overcome their challenges and emerge victorious.
