    Ghana Black Stars Head Coach CK Akonnor has called up two local players; Fatawu Mohammed of Hearts of Oak and Samuel Ashie Quaye (Great Olympics) for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa.



    Ghana FA revealed that Tariq Fosu has been excused as the player is currently trying to sort his future with Brentford before the transfer window closes.

    Slovakia based Benson Annan has also been ruled out of the two World Cup qualifiers after picking up an injury over the weekend, the GFA confirmed.

    Ghana will host Ethiopia on the 3rd of September at the Cape Coast stadium in their first 2022 World Cup Qualifiers game.
