Special Competition: WAFA 1-1 Inter Allies: Kingsford Opoku rescues a point for Allies

WAFA SC were held by Inter Allies in Sogakope on Wednesday in Matchday Two of the Special Competition.

WAFA secured a convincing victory in their opening fixture against Liberty Professionals and will be happy with the outcome of the game against Inter Allies.

The home team dominated the first half with series of attacking plays, Inter Allies goalkeeper Clement Aryee came to the rescue of his team after pulling a great save to deny the home team.

The first half ended goalless with WAFA the better side.

Opoku Frimpong Kingsford breaks the deadlock at Sogakope with a fine strike to put WAFA in front.

Effiong Nsungusi Jnr restores parity five minutes later after connecting with Paul Abanga’s cross.

Both team were cautious in the closing minutes of the game and settled for a draw.
