Special Competition: Matchday 8 results: Elmina, Hearts win, Kotoko held
Matchday eight of the Special Competition is wrap, here are the results:
Premier A
Berekum Chelsea 0-0 Asante Kotoko
Amidst the crowd disturbance and chaos before the game, Berekum Chelsea did well to hold Asante Kotoko to a goalless draw at the Golden City Park on Sunday.
Medeama SC 1-0 Aduana Stars
Samuel Appiah’s strike was enough to seal a win for the home side as they secure all three points.
Bechem United 0-3 Eleven Wonders
Bechem United suffered their second defeat in the Special Competition on Sunday as they were outclassed by Eleven Wonders. Solomon Afriyie, Francis Antwi and Alex Asamoah were on target for the visitors.
Premier B
Inter Allies 0-2 Hearts Of Oak
Inter Allies suffered their fifth defeat in the Special Competition after failing to grab any points against Hearts who were superb on Sunday. Goals from Joseph Esso and Kofi Kordzi made sure Hearts went home with all three points.
WAFA SC 2-0 Ebusua Dwarfs
WAFA secured a comfortable win at home against Ebusua Dwarfs, Prosper Ahiabu and Timothée Kofi Kuodo were on the score sheet for the home side.
Liberty Proffesionals 3-3 Karela United
It rained goals at Dansoman where Karela United fought back from three goals down to secure a point. Liberty Professionals couldn’t preserve a three goal lead as resilient Karela United fought back to go home with a point. Benjamin Eshun scored twice for the home team before Simon Zibo scored the third through a penalty kick. Solomon Sarfo and Diawisie Taylor’s brace did the magic comeback for the visitors.
Elmina Sharks 5-1 Dreams FC
Dreams FC suffered a heavy defeat on Sunday against superb Elmina Sharks. Emmanuel Addington, Benjamin Tweneboah’s brace, Augustine Owusu and Benjamin Boateng did the job for the home team while Montari Kamaheni grabbed a consolation for the away team.
