    The Matchday 5 of the Special Competition kicked off on Sunday in the country and teams in the tournament faced each other as the battle for the trophy continues.




    Ashgold 1-0 Medeama

    Ashgold bounced back from defeat against Kotoko to win Medeama at Obuasi, thanks to Amos Addai’s early strike. Both teams finished the game with 10 men after both teams had a player sent off.



    Bechem United 1-1 Asante Kotoko

    Bechem United held Asante Kotoko at home. Kojo Owusu opened the goalscoring with a great header in the first half, and Fatawu equalized for the visitors with a penalty kick in the 71st minute.



    Eleven Wonders 2-0 Berekum Chelsea

    Eleven Wonders won at home against Berekum Chelsea thanks to Ganiu Fuseini and Afriyie Solomon’s strike.

    Liberty Professionals 0-1 Hearts Of Oak

    Kwadwo Obeng Jnr scored the only goal as Hearts grab their first away win in the Special Competition.

    Dreams FC 1-1 WAFA SC

    Dreams FC held WAFA at home to a 1-1 draw. Kingsford Opoku opened the scoring for WAFA before Issah Ibrahim equalized in the closing minutes of the game.



    Karela United 3-1 Inter Allies

    Karela United thrashed Inter Allies at home thanks to goals from Darlington Gyanfosu, Isaac Kwain, and Patrick Yeboah. Abdallah Warris scored a consolation for Inter Allies.

    Ebusua Dwarfs 0-0 Elmina Sharks



    Ebusua Dwarfs secured their first point in the competition after holding Elmina to a goalless draw.
