    Sogne Yacouba nets hat trick as Kotoko thrash Bekwai Youth in friendly game

    Asante Kotoko engaged in a friendly game against Division one side Bekwai Youth Football Academy in a friendly game on Saturday as they prepare for their CAF Confederation Cup playoff game.




    The Porcupines registered a 4-0 win against Bekwai Youth Football Academy, thanks to a hat trick from Sogne Yacouba and a late goal from George Abege.

    Asante Kotoko dominated the opening minutes of the game with strings of passes and attacking display.

    The home side opened the scoring in the 8th minute after Sogne Yacouba pounced on Kelvin Andoh’s rebounded cross to put his team in front.

    Sogne Yacouba added his second goal a few minutes before the break with a low bottom corner finish to double the lead for the Porcupines.

    The first half ended 2-0 with the Porcupines in front.

    Sogne Yacouba completed his hat trick in the 54th minute after Kelvin Andoh found him at the edge of the opponent’s box, the striker controlled the pass and scored his third.

    George Abege scored the fourth goal after converting Mohammed Abass’ cross to seal the game for his team.

    Kwame Baah, Augustine Sefah, Evans Owusu, Stephen Tetteh, Agyemang Badu, Mudasiru Salifu, Kelvin Andoh, Collins Ameyaw, Martin Antwi, Songne Yacouba, Naby Keita.

    Changes at Halftime:

    Emmanuel Osei Kwame, Empem Dacosta, Alexis Didi, Samuel Frimpong, and George Abege came in to replace Kwame Baah, Augustine Sefah, Martin Antwi, Collins Ameyaw and Naby Keita respectively.
