Lethal forward, Songne Yacouba, is happy to be back in training as he nears full recovery from an ankle injury.

Yacouba was put through his paces at Adako Jachie on Thursday as he resumed training after making a partial recovery from the injury that has kept him on the sidelines since March this year.

The lad was elated over his resumption of training when he spoke to Kotoko Express App after the sesssion.

“I am happy to be back though I still feel pain in my ankle. But, I will continue to work hard and see if I can return to full fitness soon.”

Yacouba established himself as a goal poacher and team player, and Abdul Fatawu had held the fort in his absence, scoring five goals in six Special Competition games.

“Fatawu is a player I appreciate a lot,” Yacouba said of his teammate. “I am always happy when he scores and I hope he’ll continue scoring.
