Slovak coach Goran Barjaktarevic arrives in Ghana for Wa All Stars job

Slovakian-born coach Goran Barjaktarevic has arrived in the country to take over Wa All Stars in the upcoming Ghana Premier League.

The Accra-based side are seeking to establish their title credentials by boosting their backroom staff with a highly experienced coach before the start of the season.

Wa All Stars have been without a head coach since John Paintsil was forcefully driven out of the club early this month.

With just seven days to the commencement of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League, the one-time Ghana Premier League champions have appointed Goran Barjaktarevic as head coach.

The 50-year-old gaffer touched down at the Kotoko International Airport late Sunday and held a brief meeting with the hierarchy of the club at his hotel base.

He is expected to be in the dugout when Wa All Stars open their league campaign against Liberty Professionals at the Karl Reindorf Park on Saturday, December 28, 2019.
