    Selina Abalansa allegedly assault Referee Cynthia Anofa

    Soccer Intellectuals goalie set Chaos during Monday’s Women’s super cup fixture between her side and Prisons Ladies.


    Selina Abalansa, got involved in a physical altercation with the center referee Cynthia Anofa after she conceded a controversial second goal of the day.

    The 19-year-old got furious  with the decision of the referee to allow a quick pass after the whistle had gone for a foul in favor of Prison Ladies, she confronted referee to register her displeasure.

    Her side had threatened to walk out of the game following decisions they claimed, Referee Cynthia Anafo had wrong to favor prisons ladies.

    Things got heated after the confrontation and the pair later started to exchange blows at the Madina Zurak Astroturf.

    But for the timely intervention of the players of both sides and the other match officials, matters could’ve escalated further.

    Prisons Ladies were declared winners of the game with 2-0 to progress to the semi-finals of the ongoing Super Cup.
