After two match days, Breman Essiam Socrates from the Central Region were crowned leaders with a 100% win rate, determined to pick up from where they left off in last year’s competition.

Last season, they almost earned a slot after four attempts, only edged out after a protest cost them the chance.

Newbies Ridge city finished second to book a spot in the Women’s premier league after recording 3 wins, 1 defeat and 1 draw.

Western Region’s Hassport Ladies  lost 2-0 in their opening game against Socrates and followed it up with a 3-1 win against Volta Region’s Anlo Ladies on Monday before the game ended abruptly because Anlo Ladies didn’t have enough players to continue after a number of their players pulled out due to injuries.

Ridge City, the Greater Accra champions also claimed their first win, beating Hassport 4-0 in their second game, played 1 all with Rootz sistaz, lost 1-0 to Socrates ladies at the dying minute, and proceeded to win their last game against familiar foes Blessed ladies at the Cosby awuah park

Lower Manya Krobo-based Rootz Sistaz, representing Eastern Region, came from behind to win 2-1 against Blessed Ladies, the runners-up from Greater Accra.

After match day two, Socrates lead the pack with six points, Ridge City are 2nd with four points and superior goals of three ahead of Rootz who are 3rd with four points and one goal, Blessed are 4th with 1 point, Anlo have 1 point & Hassport no point.
