Ghana Premier League side Ashantigold has released a statement expressing their ‘shock’ and ‘disappointment’ at the Ghana Football Association Displiciplinary Committee ruling on the Match Manipulation scandal.

Ashantigold were demoted to the second division after being found guilty of Match Manipulation in their League game against Inter Allies last season.

The President of the club, alongside its CEO, members of the technical team, and some players were also banned after being found guilty of Match Manipulation.

Ashantigold however released a statement on Thursday stating that the club will exhaust all legal avenues available to seek justice.

    Official Statement:

Ashantigold were supposed to host Asante Kotoko on Matchweek 29 of the Ghana Premier League but the game was called off due to security reasons.
