Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh was asked why he didn’t make any substitution in Kotoko’s disappointing draw against Aduana Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

Matchweek 28 was the first time Asante Kotoko finished a game without making a single substitution in the Ghana Premier League this season.

“They were doing the right thing on the field; defensively and offensively everybody was doing the right thing and that is why I didn’t make any changes,” he said

“Sometimes, you can do a change for tactical reasons, and sometimes it could be for personnel; you just want a player to get playing time”

“So assuming we scored the first and second spot-kick, we would have brought in some fresh legs and rest some other players”

“So tactically, they played well defensively and offensively. I also saw their energy level was high and I could see the determination in the faces of the players, that’s why I didn’t make any substitution” he added.

Asante Kotoko will travel to Obuasi for their next game against Ashantigold and will be looking to put Sunday’s disappointment behind them.
