Asante Kotoko have invited the police to offer protection to the squad over rumors of fans threat to sack Coach CK Akonnor, Sahara Football can confirm.

There are rumors suggesting that a Kotoko Seidu fan is threatening to lead a mob to stop Asante Kotoko coach CK Akonnor from conducting training activities today.

Fans unhappy with the outcome of the J.A Kufuor Cup game between Kotoko and Ashgold

The same Seidu fan was responsible for the attack on former coach Zradvko Logarusic which later resulted to the sacking of the Serbian.

Kotoko fans were not pleased with recent performance of the club and have urged CK Akonnor to step up.
