Former First Bank FC defender Daniel Kalu Cyrus says playing in Europe is a dream come true for any footballer.

The 20-year-old arrived on Cyprus Island in early January where he signed a bumper deal with Hamitköy.

“I am very happy to make my debut tonight. My first football in Europe, its been though but am happy being here, every player dream is to football in Europe”, Kalu told this portal.

Kalu, who has also represented Nigeria local side F.C. Ebede was heavily linked with a couple ‘of clubs in the European nation.

“Düzkaya came in and few other clubs but I opted to join Hamitköy due to the good offer my agent and I received. The fans are amazing and I am happy to join this historic club.”

Kalu joined the Northern Cyprus club after terminating his contract with First Bank FC to pave the way for his move.
