Asante Kotoko coach Mariano Barreto admitted that their defeat against Hearts of Oak last week at the Accra Sports Stadium affected his players and was the reason they played poorly against King Faisal.

Kotoko failed to bounce back from that painful defeat against arch-rivals as they struggled to avoid defeat against King Faisal in Obuasi.

“After the match, we have to recognize that we didn’t recover. We fell very hard after the defeat against Hearts of Oak” Barreto said

” Some of the players were so much affected by that and we did not play well, and we have to recognize this” he added.

Following Kotoko’s 1-1 draw against King Faisal, Hearts of Oak now needs four points from their last three to win the Ghana Premier League.
