Berekum Chelsea scaled into the semifinals of the MTN FA Cup after beating Asante Kotoko 4-5 on penalties at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.

Emmanuel Gyamfi and Emmanuel Keyekeh and others were not at their best as Kotoko squandered their chances in an infuriating performance on Sunday evening.

    Player Ratings:

Razak Abalora – 4 – Didn’t do much all game but was poor during the penalty shootout.

Patrick Asmah -4– Found himself in promising positions several times but continued to put in poor crosses into the box.

Andrews Appau -4– Caught lacking on few occasions but had a fairly average game.

Wahab Adams -4– Had a pretty good game but missed the penalty that saw Kotoko crash out of the competition.

Christopher Netty -3– Another poor day at the office for him; didn’t do much to help the attack from the right area of the pitch.

Samuel Frimpong -3– Dint notice he was on the pitch until he was subbed off, another below-par performance.

Mudasiru -4– Was fairly okay before he was unfortunately subbed off injured.

Emmanuel Keyekeh -3– Had a torrid game; added nothing to the team and didn’t control the midfield throughout the game

Emmanuel Gyamfi -2– Gyamfi was the worst player today for Asante Kotoko. He had several chances to change the game but fell short when it mattered. A very poor performance.

Fabio Gama – 3– Missed a penalty that could’ve changed the entire game.

Sarfo Taylor -4– Another poor performance from the forward, did little before he was subbed off.

    Substitutions:

Evans Adomako -3– Came in and had an average game; struggled once again to link with the attackers.

Kwame Adom -4– played well briefly before he was influenced by the overall team performance.

Andy Kumi -4– Created one big chance but Adomako couldn’t convert.
