English Premier League side Southampton have announced the signing of Ghana Black Stars forward Kamaldeen Sulemana.

The player joins on a €26million fee from Rennes and has signed a 4.5 years contract with Southampton.

The player rejected a move to Everton to join Southampton after Rennes accepted bids from both clubs.

Southampton manager Nathan Jones said: “This is another really positive addition for us this month. We’ve obviously been keen to add a little more potency to the side, and Kamaldeen is someone who does that for us.

He becomes the fourth signing for Southampton in the January window, following the arrivals of Mislav Oršić, Charly Alcaraz, and James Bree.
