Borussia Dortmund has confirmed the signing of Karim Adeyemi from RB Salzburg on a permanent deal for €38m plus add-ons.

The Five years contract was signed two days ago. Deal now completed and announced by BVB.

BVB on their official Twitter page said “Borussia Dortmund is thrilled to announce the signing of German International, Karim Adeyemi, on a contract until June 2027!”

Borussia Dortmund look ready for life after Erling Haaland joining Manchester City as Karim Adeyemi is said to be on his way to Signal Iduna Park.

Haaland netted 25 goals in just 23 games during his year at Salzburg.

Although Adeyemi’s record there is not quite as impressive, he has netted 24 times in all competitions this season and had previously been linked with Manchester United.

Adeyemi’s agent, Thomas Solomo, confirmed that United interim boss Ralf Rangnick had “wanted to enter the race” but that he and his player “want Borussia Dortmund”.

Munich-born Adeyemi has represented Germany three times at senior international level, scoring once.

Adeyemi is enjoying a breakout season with Salzburg this term, proving to be an effective goal-scorer for the team. Despite only being 20 years old, he has shown that he is more than capable of leading the line for his side in the domestic league as well as in Europe.

The German’s goals have been instrumental in helping his club win yet another Austrian Bundesliga, while also taking them to the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League. Unfortunately for Salzburg, they were knocked out of the continental competition by Bayern Munich.
