English Premier League side Arsenal have announced the signing of striker Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City on a long-term deal, the club announced on Monday morning.

The Brazillian joins Arsenal for a reported £45 million from Manchester City.

Gabriel Jesus joins Arsenal with a pool of experience; he has played and scored several times in the UEFA Champions League, featured in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and is an important player for the Brazil national team.

Speaking about the signing, Mikel Arteta says he is delighted with the signing.

“I’m very excited. The club has done a tremendous job to recruit a player of this stature. I know Gabriel personally very well, and we all know him well from his time in the Premier League and being really successful here.

“This is a position that’s been on our radar for a long time now and we have managed to get a player that we all wanted, so I’m really happy.” he added.
