Nsoatreman coach Maxwell Konadu admits Hearts of Oak deserved the victory

Nsoatreman FC coach Maxwell Konadu acknowledged that Hearts of Oak earned their victory in a Ghana Premier League match on Sunday. Congolese striker Kashala Ramos Wanet secured the decisive goal with a close-range finish within the first four minutes of the game.

Konadu, a former coach of Asante Kotoko, experienced his first defeat against the Phobians in his coaching career.

The former Ghanaian international had maintained an unbeaten record against the Ghanaian giants prior to the encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium.

However, this proud record of not losing to the former African champions came to an end as his team narrowly lost in the capital. Maxwell Konadu conceded that his team performed as the second-best side on the day.

“It was a good game. Very challenging. We had a red card and we introduced fresh legs to bolster the squad. It was a good game for Hearts. You can’t deny them credit. They earned the victory,” he stated to StarTimes.

“Nsoatreman gave their all but it simply wasn’t sufficient. We didn’t press hard enough. Hearts maintained possession, which disrupted our rhythm.

“We have a lot of work to do, especially with our away games. Moving forward, we’ll strive to secure results on the road this season.”
