Chris Hughton has once again named a Ghana Black Stars squad without a player from the Ghana Premier League despite attending several local games since he was appointed.

Ghana will face Madagascar on Sunday, June 18, 2023, and Chris Hughton will undergo the vital task without the services of the local-based players.

Following the underwhelming performance of the local-based players in the Africa Nations Championship tournament, there has been criticism of the quality of the local players and doubts that they are good enough for the Black Stars team.
