In addition to their slim title hopes, Kotoko has been eliminated from other competitions, including the CAF Champions League and FA Cup, suffering a round of 32 exit.

Nana Yaw Amponsah admitted during an interview with Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM that the team has failed to meet expectations this season, and therefore, asked for forgiveness from supporters.

He thanked them for their support and asked for patience with the team and players, as they continue to strive for success.

Asante Kotoko is presently in sixth place with 44 points after 30 games and will visit Dawu to take on demoted Kotoku Royals in week 31 of the Ghana Premier League season.
