True Life FC vs Heart of Lions FC
3:00 PM – Nii Adjei Kraku Sports Complex
One of the biggest stories of this year’s competition continues as True Life FC, the only Division Two side left in the tournament, take on Heart of Lions. True Life captured headlines with a stunning 1–0 victory over Accra Hearts of Oak in the Round of 64 and will be aiming to continue their fairytale run against another Premier League opponent.
Heart of Lions, who advanced past fellow Volta Region side Hohoe United in the same round, will be without their first-choice goalkeeper Lawrence Osei—one of the league’s highly rated shot-stoppers, who also featured for Ghana’s Black Galaxies in a friendly against South Africa last year—after he relocated abroad. Despite his absence, the Lions have shown their mettle, thrashing giants Asante Kotoko 3–1 in their most recent GPL game. They now enter this clash brimming with confidence from that vital victory.
Dreams FC vs Inter Allies
3:00 PM – Tuba Astro Turf
Former champions Dreams FC will face Division One side Inter Allies, who have reached this stage without having faced any Premier League opposition. Dreams’ experience in high-stakes matches could prove decisive, but Inter Allies will view this as a chance to test themselves against top-flight competition and aim for a historic progression. Dreams, however, come into the game having drawn their last three GPL matches, adding an intriguing twist to the encounter.
Asante Kotoko SC vs Aduana FC
3:00 PM – Baba Yara Sports Stadium
Defending champions Asante Kotoko SC will host Aduana FC in one of the round’s most anticipated fixtures. The two sides previously played out a 1–1 draw in the Premier League, setting the stage for another closely contested encounter. Kotoko, currently fifth in the GPL, have been strong against lower-tier sides such as Future Stars and King Faisal but come into this game off a league defeat. Aduana FC, sitting second in the table, arrive in Kumasi with confidence after drawing their last GPL match, making this clash a compelling test for both teams.
Techiman Liberty Youth vs Real Tamale United FC
3:00 PM – Ohene Ameyaw Park
A Division One clash pits Techiman Liberty Youth against Real Tamale United in a tie that promises intensity and tactical discipline. Techiman, currently sixth out of eight in Zone 1B, and Real Tamale, second in Zone 1A, both come into this game having drawn their most recent league matches 1–1. With both sides aiming for a deep cup run, this encounter could be decided by the smallest of margins.
Berekum Chelsea FC vs Tamale City FC
3:00 PM – Golden City Park
Premier League side Berekum Chelsea will host Tamale City FC in a fascinating clash pitting top-flight experience against lower-tier ambition. Chelsea, currently in the relegation zone after a league defeat in their last match, will look to assert themselves after a 1–0 win over Young Apostles in Round 32. Tamale City, meanwhile, top Division One Zone 1A and arrive full of confidence after a league victory and a dramatic 14–13 penalty shootout win over Premiership side Karela United following a 0–0 draw in Round 32. With momentum on their side, Tamale City will be eager to continue the impressive run of Division One clubs in this year’s competition.
Winners from the Round of 16 will advance to the quarterfinals scheduled for March 13–16, with the semifinals fixed for April 17–20, and the MTN FA Cup final set for May 30–31, 2026.
