Nations FC booked their first-ever place in the semi-finals of the 2025/26 MTN FA Cup following a tense penalty shootout victory over fellow Premier League side Berekum Chelsea on Sunday, March 15, 2026. The goalless draw in regulation time at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park led to a dramatic 4-3 penalty win for the Kumasi-based outfit.

The match saw both teams create chances but neither could find the breakthrough in open play. Nations FC held their nerve in the shootout to secure a historic semi-final berth, demonstrating composure under pressure and resilience against top-flight opposition.

Their journey to the last four has been impressive. Nations FC began their campaign with a 2-1 victory over Ebony FC in the Round of 64, followed by a convincing 3-0 win against FC Ashantigold in the Round of 32. In the Round of 16, they overcame fellow Premier League side Swedru All Blacks 2-1 to secure their place in the quarter-finals.

With the semi-final spot secured, Nations FC now face another stern test in Aduana FC, a side renowned for their attacking prowess and strong campaign in this season’s FA Cup. Both teams will meet in what promises to be an exciting clash as Nations aim to continue their historic run and challenge for the coveted trophy for the first time.

This milestone achievement marks a new chapter for Nations FC, highlighting their progress and ambition in Ghanaian football. Fans and football enthusiasts will be eagerly watching as they aim to turn this historic semi-final appearance into a shot at FA Cup glory.
