Moses Armah assures Ghanaians that, Medeama will qualify to honour the country.

Medeama SC’s financier, Moses Armah ‘Parker,’ has given assurance to the club’s supporters that they will defeat Horoya and secure a spot in the lucrative stage of the ongoing CAF Champions League, aiming to bring pride to Ghana.

After clinching victory in the Ghana Premier League, the Tarkwa-based team is on a mission to restore Ghana’s standing in CAF inter-club competitions.

For years, Ghanaian clubs have encountered difficulties in progressing to the profitable stages of the CAF Champions League. Nevertheless, Medeama is resolute in their determination to buck this trend in the current season.

In the initial leg of their round 2 CAF Champions League encounter, held on their home ground in Ghana, the Mauve and Yellow emerged triumphant with a 3-1 victory over Horoya.

Nana Kofi Babil, Nurudeen Abdulai, and Kofi Asmah found the net for Medeama, while Lamine Fofana secured a consolation goal for the visiting team in injury time.

“Thank God, with the government’s support and backing from corporate entities, we have achieved this result. We are left with just one step to cross into the money zone,” he conveyed to Peace FM.

“With God’s grace, we will make it. This Thursday, the team will depart Accra for Guinea to prepare for the match scheduled for Saturday.”

“We are determined to qualify because we want to bring honor to Ghana,” he further emphasized.
