    Mohammed Kudus paid tribute to the late Christian Atsu after scoring free-kick for Ajax.

    Kudus scored his first-ever free-kick goal for Ajax in their 4-0 victory over Sparta Rotterdam over the weekend.

    The Ajax star boy  celebrated his goal  by lifting his shirt to reveal an inscription “Rest in Peace Atsu.”

    This was to  honour the Ghanaian player , Christian Atsu who tragically passed away in Turkey.

    Atsu was trapped under the rubble for nearly 12 days following the devastating earthquake that happened in Turkey.

    Atsu’s death has left the football community heartbroken.

    Premier League clubs  over the weekend  honoured Atsu by holding a minute’s applause before all games while the games played in the Ghana Premier League featured a minute of silence.

    Atsu’s body has arrived in Ghana with the Vice- President of the country ensuring his family that, Atsu will be given a very befitting burial.
