The Millennium Supporters Union of Ghana (MISUGHA), Volta Region Branch, announced its presence in grand style on Sunday, February 1, 2026, as members stormed the Ho Sports Stadium following their general meeting in the regional capital.
The colourful appearance formed part of activities leading to the official inauguration of the Volta Regional Branch, scheduled for Saturday, February 14, 2026, in Ho.
Fresh from their meeting, the supporters made their way to the stadium to witness an exciting Matchday 18 encounter in the 2025/26 Access Bank Division One League Zone 3, where Home Stars defeated Hakla FC 2–0 in front of an enthusiastic home crowd.
The atmosphere at the Ho Sports Stadium was electric, with MISUGHA members leading spirited chants, drumming, and coordinated displays that lifted the tempo of the game and underscored the vital role supporters play in Ghanaian football.
Earlier in the day, the MISUGHA delegation, led by its Regional Co-Chairperson, Madam Aku-Sika Kpene—also a former Deputy Women’s Organizer of the NDC in the Volta Region—paid a courtesy visit to a high-level meeting of all 18 Members of Parliament, the 18 Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) of the Volta Region, and the Volta Regional Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Hotel Stevens in Ho.
The delegation used the opportunity to interact with party leadership and key stakeholders, reinforcing MISUGHA’s commitment to unity, organization, and structured support within Ghana’s football ecosystem.
Adding glamour to both the meeting and the stadium experience was National Trumpeter, Mr. Isaac Garshong, whose presence elevated the Jama session and energized supporters throughout the day.
MISUGHA is one of several organized supporters’ groups operating under the umbrella of the Ghana Supporters Union, with active branches across the country. The union was founded by Alhaji Issaka Moro Polo, who currently serves as President of the Ghana Supporters Union and remains a towering figure in Ghana’s supporters’ movement.
With the Volta Regional Branch inauguration drawing closer, Sunday’s show of strength in Ho signaled MISUGHA’s readiness to play a vibrant and influential role in football support, unity, and fan culture in the region and beyond.
