Maxwell Konadu happy with Legon Cities win over Hearts of Oak

The Legon Cities coach expressed his admiration for his team’s performance following their narrow 1-0 win against Hearts of Oak at the El Wak Stadium on Sunday, May 28, 2023.

Kofi Kordzi’s decisive strike during stoppage time in the first half ensured that The Royals bounced back to victory after their previous loss to Bechem United the previous weekend.

Under Konadu’s guidance, Legon Cities demonstrated great determination and resilience as they held on to their solitary goal, securing all three points. The coach was effusive in his praise for his team at the end of the match.

Speaking to StarTimes, he said, “The players executed our game plan excellently, and I congratulate them for their outstanding performance. They gave their utmost effort, and we are thrilled with the three points.”

With 43 points, Legon Cities currently hold the 11th position in the league standings. Their next match will be an away fixture against King Faisal.
