Match Preview and Prediction: Hearts of Oak vs Ashantigold

Hearts of Oak will be hoping to move past their last league defeat at the hands of Aduana Stars a fortnight in search of better results as they come up against a resurgent AshantiGold at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The defending champions have not had the best of seasons as they occupy the 6th position on the log with 29 points from 20 league games.

In their last five games, they have managed just a single victory, which came against WAFA SC in match week 19 of the campaign.

For AshGold, their win against King Faisal last weekend might be a stepping stone to their flattering campaign in the ongoing league, prior to that game, they were winless in 4 games, with players demonstrating their displeasure at management for the non-payment of arrears, technical changes amongst others contributed to their poor run in the league, seeing them 11th on the log with 25 points.

Yaw Annor, S.K Osei, and Emmanuel Addai have somewhat been the brightest spot for the Aboaakese lads who will be chasing their 2nd consecutive win against the rainbow boys.

Samuel Boadu and his charges are winless against AshGold in the last 5 outings, with the away side coming up tops on 3 separate occasions and the remainder ending in draws something he will need to remedy this weekend or incur the wrath of the fans whose hopes and aspirations in him seems to be dissipating on a daily basis.

Predictions: Hearts of Oak 2-1 AshGold
